Nov13 – How can I strengthen my Church?

As we continue in our study and discussion on our individual involvement in the Church, today we are looking at how we can strengthen one another in our church, so that we can positively and effectively impact the community that God has planted us. May the Holy spirit guide us today in recognizing our purpose in the place God has planted us.

Text : John 15:16-17

  • What is Jesus saying to you in the above scripture?
  • What is the meaning of a Church? (Mat 16:16-18)

Be Present (Hebrews 10:19-25)

Believers have significant privileges associated with our new life in Christ.

  • What would happen when believers fail to meet together?
  • How could this be of particular significance to you as a believer of Christ, today?
  • Based on our discussion so far, finish this statement: “My attitude when getting together with other believers should entail . . .”

Be Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)

Hebrews 11 highlights some great heroes of the faith. However believers are instructed to focus on Jesus.

  • Why should you focus less on other heroes of the faith?
  • What kept Jesus going in the face of suffering? How would this affect Christians today?

Be Loving (Hebrews 13:1-3, 17-18)

Real love for others produces tangible actions.
