Expressing gratitude means moving beyond a simple “thank you” to consciously recognize and validate someone’s kindness, presence, or support. Expressing gratitude can strengthen your relationships and boost your mental well-being.
Bible reading John 10:1-10; Psalms 139
Who are those you should express gratitude to?
- Those who opened the door for you
- Those who kept the door open for you
- Yourself, for going through the door
You are encouraged to express gratitude both in words and actions starting from today and develop an attitude of gratitude.
- In Words. Be specific by stating the exact action that helped you and why it mattered. Acknowledge the persons character
- In Action. Send them a written note in your words that they look back on when they are low; Make a Phone call to check in on them; Return a thoughtful favor; Send them a functional gift of appreciation
