March 18 – Go Forward with your talent

Focus: How are you stewarding your God-given resources? Are you taking steps to multiply them, or are you hiding them away?

In a culture that often promotes self-centered gain, the Parable of the Talents pushes back by focusing on the divine expectations of how we should manage our talents, time, and treasures.

Study Discussion:

  1. What is the difference between Risk Taking and acting in faith?
  2. Read Matthew 24:15. What is the meaning of Ability?
  3. Why did each servant receive talents according to their several abilities?
  4. Why did one of the servant bury the talent given rather than trade it like the other servants?
  5. What is the relationship between Quality and Quantity?
  6. Can you identify what you are good at? How easy do you do what you are good at?
  7. How much external help do you require to do what you are good at?
  8. Do you compare your skills with other people? What are advantages and disadvantages of comparing yourself with others?
  9. Read Luke 12:47-48 :What do the quote “to who much is given much is expected” mean to you?
