“He who is without sin among you….”
Today we are looking at a person that had been caught in the act of committing a sin and how there had been no shortage of people passing judgement. As we read this story, we are going to be paying attention to how everyone treated this “sinner”, and then notice how Jesus treated the “sinner”.

There are three main characters in this Scene; the Woman, the Teachers of the Law and Jesus. Jesus, teaching in the temple courts, is interrupted by the Pharisees and scribes presenting an adulterous woman. They test Jesus, asking if she should be stoned per the law of Moses. (The absence of the male participant in this account raises questions about the motives of the accusers and the fairness of the proceedings.)

‘Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”’
