May 7- Being Kind to one another.

As a people who believe that God has shown kindness to us by forgiving us all our sins through Christ, it should take little effort to show kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to one another. So why do we struggle so much in this area?

As much as the world seems to approach their disagreements with anger, hostility and polarization, we as believers unfortunately, often follow the same approach. We allow issues that ought to unite us, continue to divide and conquer us , thus bringing unnecessary pain and sorrow to our fellowship in Christ.

Today we are going to address some of this issues and find ways to realign our minds to that of Christ.

  • Can you identify the acts of Kindness in the passage read?
  • Would you say act of Faith is a demonstration of Kindness (Heb. 11:6)?How?
  • What were the issues the scribes and Pharisees had with Jesus while witnessing His act of Kindness?
  • What was Jesus response to them?
  • What are some of the issues at home, at Church or in our relationship, that ought to unite us, that unnecessarily continue to divide and conquer us?
  • From the letter of Apostle Paul to the Ephesians, what are the ways he encouraged that we can be kind to one another?

Action Plan

For us fellow believers of Christ, we ought to live our lives in kindness, compassion and unity in the Spirit of Love. Show compassion instead of judgment. Give as it has been given unto you. Offer help when you know there is a need.

Most of all, may you lead the way in praising Christ, loving his people, and living a different and more fulfilling life.
