This month we would be revisiting the idea of a renewed mind by studying Romans 8.
Anchor verse: Rom 12:2 ‘And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.’
What does the “Renewing of the Mind” look like for Christians? That’s the question most Christians struggle with and have had very little teaching on during their life as believers. Simply stated, renewing your mind means interpreting life through the lens of God’s Word and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, rather than through the lens of your experience, trauma, preferences, or the opinions of others.
Today we are looking into the Mind Renewal building blocks of Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge.
- What is the difference between , Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom?
- What is the benefit of having a lot of knowledge on a subject but little or lack of, understanding?
- Prov 24:3-4: Describe the relationship between Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom.
- Prov. 2:6 :What is the difference between Godly and Human Knowledge?
- Isa 11:1-2. Isaiah prophesied about Jesus Christ. From this scripture, what or where is the source of Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding?
- John 16:5-15. Jesus spoke about the purpose of the Spirit of Truth. What is the importance of the Holy Spirit with regards to Knowledge, Understanding and Wisdom?
Action Plan
Focusing on the difference between knowledge, understanding, and wisdom is something we really need to take time and meditate on.
